My Story

I found a love for vegan cooking and nutrition whilst travelling Australia 2015-2017.

When I returned back to the UK I was lucky enough to bag the Head Chef role at Forest Green Rovers, the world's only vegan Football Club. Throughout my time at FGR I had so many opportunities and experiences that have shaped my career today, such as appearing on TV shows and news channels, cooking with celebrities, teaching children how to cook plant-based meals, creating delicious menus to serve to the thousands of fans on match days and cooking and creating meal plans to focus on nourishing the athletes.

Fast forward 5 years, my time at FGR came to an end and I decided to take on ‘JadesGreenKitchen’ as a full time venture as a wedding and events caterer.

In May 2023 we catered our first wedding in Bristol, with a stunning Middle Eastern Themed Buffet. In our first 6 months we had catered for three weddings, 6 retreats, 4 corporate events and a few parties.

Today, at the beginning of 2024, less than one year into running JGK as a catering business, we are a recommended supplier at two weddings venues, on White Wed Directory and we were awarded supplier of the month for Weddings & Honeymoons Magazines. We have repeat custom for yoga and corporate retreats throughout the year, with our diary for 2024 looking chocca blocca with weddings, retreats and other events, whilst 2025 quickly filling up too.

When I took that plunge back in May 2023 to leave my full time job and go it on my own, I always dreamed it would go this well and I just can’t believe it’s actually happening. Even writing this is a bit of a pinch myself moment. I am so grateful for all of the wonderful people that have believed in JGK and have got us where we are today.

The future is looking bright and I’m so excited for it.
